Product buildup inside the valve can increase the torque required from the drive, placing additional stress on the drive components. Over time, this added load can lead to premature drive wear and reduced equipment life.
Product adhesion can reduce rotary valve throughput by causing material buildup on the rotor and housing. This limits product flow, making the valve less efficient and reducing overall production.
PRODUCT SOLIDIFICATION
When the valve is shut down, product may harden inside the valve and adhere to internal surfaces, making it impossible for the valve to restart.

VALVE SEIZING
Product can build up on the housing ID and endcaps. As this buildup accumulates, it creates drag against the rotor, acting like a brake and increasing resistance. Over time, excessive buildup can cause the valve to slow down or seize completely.
