Excessive stress on the rotary valve drive can increase friction and resistance, creating conditions that encourage product buildup and adhesion inside the valve.
Product adhesion can reduce rotary valve throughput by causing material buildup on the rotor and housing. This limits product flow, making the valve less efficient and reducing overall production.
As the product gets stuck inside a valve, it adds more stress to the drive, as well as limiting pocket fill.

PRODUCT SOLIDIFICATION & ROTOR SEIZING
When sticky product sits inside a rotary valve, it can solidify and build up around the rotor. Over time, this buildup can cause the rotor to seize, potentially leaving the valve unable to operate.
